Erin Kaczkowski is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the adaptation of the body and soul to life’s changing conditions. Drawing from her background in printmaking, she employs simple motifs to create a visual language that translates across prints, sculptures, textiles, and multimedia installations. Invisible Visible, her most recent ongoing project, chronicles her lived experience with disability and the emotional complexities that come with it. Erin also frequently explores themes like women’s rights, grief, emotional duality, and personal transformation.

Accessibility is a key part of Erin’s art and workshops. As an instructor, she creates a welcoming environment for artists of all skill levels to joyfully create art, even if it’s “bad.” She teaches around Sheboygan and Milwaukee, and has been a vendor at events like JMKAC Midsummer Festival of the Arts and Hovercraft Milwaukee. She holds a BFA in printmaking from UW-Milwaukee and a degree in photography from MCTC in Minneapolis.

Somewhere in time, along the misty mystic shores of Lake Michigan, Dr. Zack Kruse shambles and lurks, sifting through the sands of American subcultures. A scholar-maker at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, Kruse is curious about how the politics and philosophies of the strange and unusual infiltrate our mundane lives. His book, Mysterious Travelers, changed the conversation about Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko and the impact of comics on 20th-century American thought and politics. The Eisner Award-nominated book was recognized as one of the best books on comics in 2021 by The Comics Journal. As a creative, Kruse is a comics writer and a visual artist, as well as a film director, writer, producer, and performer with national and regionally focused publications and productions. Always celebrating public access to overlapping creative and intellectual pursuits, Kruse founded a well-regarded comic book convention, organized several academic conferences, and is on the executive board for the Sheboygan Film Festival. Additionally, he serves as a movie host for Rebel Reels Film Society in Sheboygan, Wisconsin as well as several other community organizations. He also is a frequent podcast guest, and hosts a weekly music program, The Mutant Graveyard. If it’s weird, cast aside, forgotten, or has a lot of heart, Kruse is dragging it out of the fog.
